It’s reported that Korea’s steel pipe outputs and exports hit the new history highs in 2012.

According to statistics released by the Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), the country’s production of steel pipes totaled 5.34 million tons in 2012, rising by 5.3% year on year.

Besides, Korea’s exports of steel pipes reached 2.01 million tons in 2012, driven by higher exports of drilling pipes and line pipes.

The statistics showed that the country’s exports of drilling pipes totaled 1.01 million tons, soaring by 33.4% and those of line pipes amounted to 870,000 tons, jumping by 108.6%, both compared to those in a year ago.
