Superior Materials Inc., a fourth generation independent specialty chemical distributor, located in Garden City NY, has announced the following personnel changes and promotions. Alex Blakeman has been promoted to senior director of technology. Blakeman has been with Superior for eight years and his technical knowledge and sales expertise is invaluable to Superior and their suppliers. Bruce Schimmel has been promoted to director of sales. Schimmel has been with Superior for 3.5 years and is responsible for the Superior sales team, covering the Mid- Atlantic, New England and Mid-West territories.

Danny Madden has recently joined Superior as the Mid-West regional account manager. Madden's responsibilities include Ohio, Kentucky, portions of Indiana and Michigan. He has spent the previous 10 years in distribution in this region. Matthew Kafka has recently joined Superior Materials as a sales representative and will be covering the NY, NJ area. He is a graduate of Hofstra University in New York and has worked part time for Superior for two years.
