Metagenics, a nutrigenomics and lifestyle medicine company, has unveiled NutraGems CoQ10 300 chewable gels.

The gels provide an emulsified delivery form of coenzyme Q10 designed for enhanced absorption, the company said.

Metagenics intramural clinical research director Joseph Lamb said the challenge is creating a reliable delivery form that compensates for CoQ10's fat-loving nature and those patients will take regularly as instructed.

"NutraGems CoQ10 300 meets both objectives with an innovative and great-tasting chewable gel that melts in the mouth and delivers a concentrated dose of 300 mg of emulsified CoQ10 to enhance its bioavailability potential," Lamb added.

NutraGems formulas, which are gluten free and sugar free, contain natural color from the phytonutrient lycopene and natural sweeteners.

CoQ10 plays a vital role in cellular energy production and helps protect proteins and mitochondrial DNA from oxidative damage.
